Import a Movie Magic Budget (XML)
Bring an existing Movie Magic budget into Shamel with its structure intact using the XML import.
Export from Movie Magic
In Movie Magic Budgeting, export your budget as an XML file. This is the format Shamel reads.
Import into Shamel
- On your project card, click "Create" next to Budget.
- Choose the Movie Magic Budget XML import as your starting point and upload the file.
- Your budget comes in with its structure intact: Top Sheet categories, Accounts, and Details.
- Finish the setup with your shoot days, production state and city, and dates.
Check the import limitations
Not every Movie Magic feature maps one-to-one. Use "View import limitations" in the import dialog to see exactly what carries over before you commit.
