Scheduling
Upload a script and get an automatic breakdown
Turn a PDF script into scenes and tagged elements in about 20 seconds.
Upload your script
- On your project card, click "Create" next to Schedule.
- Choose what you're uploading: a single script (film or TV episode) or multiple scripts for a TV season (paid plans).
- Upload your script as a PDF. Processing takes around 20 seconds.
- Shamel detects every scene (INT./EXT., set, time of day, page length) and auto-tags elements like cast, props, and vehicles.
Good to know
PDF is currently the only supported file type (.fdx support is in the works). Scripts in latin-alphabet languages such as Spanish and French work too, as long as they follow standard screenplay formatting.
No script yet? Choose "Start from scratch" at the bottom of the dialog to create an empty schedule and add scenes manually.
